Ebola Outbreak: Community In Abuja, FCT Minister At Loggerheads Over Citing Of Treatment Centre

Residence of Kuje Area Council in the nations capital Abuja are at logger heads with the FCT minister over the citing of Ebola treatment centre within the General Hospital premises.

While speaking on behalf of the residence, Ishaku Shaban Tete, the Chairman of the community expressed dismay at the decision of the FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed to cite the centre within the council.
Bringing Ebola centre to such crowded hospital will amount to mass murder because if it catches one person, be rest assured that it will spread rapidly to all the residents, the chairman said.
While reacting to the Chairmans protest, Bala Mohammed said:
I will hold you responsible for the success of the project. And I warn you that nothing should happen to stop it!
Youths in the community have also expressed their dissatisfaction over the citing of the centre in their community as they have vowed to resist it with their lives.
We are ready to lay down our lives for the welfare and health of the people of Kuje, instead of allowing such thing happen with our eyes wide opened, they said.
