Stealing: Man, 27, Arrested For Robbery


Police operatives attached to FESTAC Police Station have arrested one John James for armed robbery.

James who claimed to be a cultist was nabbed with locally made pistol and cartridges in his possession.
The suspect was said to have given the police a blow by blow account of how his gang robbed an hair dressing salon in Lagos and dispossessed the victims of their money and handsets.
The suspect who hails from Kogi State and resides at 8 Oguntimehin Street, Ajegunle, Lagos, was arrested by the anti robbery policemen from FESTAC Police Division
The case was transferred to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja on the orders of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Umar Manko ,for discreet investigation.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the 27- year- old suspect who is currently being interrogated by a team of SARS operatives led by the officer in charge of the squad, SP Abba Kyari, was arrested recently at the scene of robbery at Apple Junction, Festac with a locally made pistol and two cartridges.
The suspect confessed: I live with my mother, I am single. I live at 8, Oguntimehin Street, Ajegunle with my mother.
