Auto Crash: 5 Escape Death In Multiple Accident

Five persons, including a woman at the weekend narrowly escaped death while plastic products worth millions of naira were destroyed when multiple vehicles, including over six trailers were involved in an accident along Asaba/Benin highway in Delta State.

Some eyewitnesses, who spoke to our correspondent, said the accident occurred when one of the trailers brake failed and lost control, thereby ramming into other cars and a new road block mounted by security men on the road.

A source said the accident made many of the vehicles to collide with one another, thereby causing multiple accidents on the road.

According to him, five persons including a woman and one of the drivers were seriously wounded as they bled profusely but were rushed to the hospital.

FRSC spokesman in the state, Mr. Julius Bassy confirmed the accident, adding that he is yet to get details but said he will get in touch with our correspondent.
