Good DaughterHalima Abubakar Sends Mum To Mecca
Nollywood actress and producer, Halima Abubakar,
has proven that what a man can do, a woman can also do, as she single
handedly sends her mother on Umra pilgrimage to Mecca, the Holy land of
the Muslims.
Halima, who is a devoted Muslim, decided to be in the spirit of Ramadan by making sure her lovely mother undertakes the Umra.
Umrah
is sometimes known as the "lesser pilgrimage," in comparison to the
annual Hajj pilgrimage of Islam. It is a visit one makes to the Grand
Mosque in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, outside of the designated Hajj
pilgrimage dates.
Though it is not a compulsory act, the Muslims
believe it is good for anyone who can afford it to undertake the
pilgrimage in his lifetime.
This, Halima did by making sure her mother embark on the journey. She took to her Twitter page to announce the good deed by a good daughter.
