Ebola: We Bathed With Kerosene, Salt, Warm Water Mixture

A polytechnic student has explained how her colleagues in school tried to ward off the ebola virus with kerosene, salt and warm water mixture.

The student of Covenant Polytechnic, Abia State, Gift Nnenna Okonkwo, said the fear of the deadly disease made students comply with any precautionary measure anybody introduced to them.
She said they had to wake up early in the morning to prepare the mixture for bathing, adding that they believed that the process would prevent the disease.
Okonkwor said all students did same but she was not actually perturbed about it but had to join others in what they were doing.
Meanwhile, about two people who used the salt and warm water solution were reportedly killed by the process while about 18 were hospitalized in the northern part of the country.
