UPDATE: Nigerian Develops Ebola Drug, Nano Silver, 8 Patients To Receive Drug In Lagos

A Nigerian has developed an experimental drug to treat the Ebola Virus named, Nano Silver.

The minister of health, Onyebuchi Chukwu,has stated that the experimental drug was expected to arrive Nigeria on Thursday, August 14, 2014. The drugwill be usedto treat eight patients infected with the Ebola virus in Lagos.

The vaccine is considered approved by the World Health Orgainzation (WHO), given the organizations initial declaration that experimental treatments are ethical in the case of the Ebola pandemic.

The Nigerian government on Wednesdayauthorized the use of experimental drugsfor the treatment of Ebola.
