PDP Not After Gov Ajimobi Alao-Akala

Former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala has said that members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state House of Assembly are not in any alliance to remove the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

Akala stated this yesterday in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State shortly after a reception held for 1,500 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who dumped their party for the PDP in the state.
The former governor, who also held a closed-door meeting with the chairman, Mobilisation and Organisation Committee for PDP in the South West, Prince Buruji Kashamu at his residence in Ijebu-Igbo after the reception, told newsmen after the meeting that he was in Ogun State to felicitate with Kashamu on the Sallah.
PDP is not part of the plot to remove Ajimobi. The members of the PDP who are in the Assembly are not in alliance to remove anybody from office, he said.
We cannot do that, why would they remove him, what has he done, let him finish his job and go away.
I am here to felicitate with my brother and friend who is Chairman, Organisation and Mobilisation of the PDP on this sallah.
Meanwhile, the new PDP members led by a Chieftain of the APC in Ijebu-Igbo, Sylvester Abiodun pledged to work for the victory of the PDP ahead of the coming election.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Sylvester lamented that, he and other members from 10 groups in the area decided to dump the APC for the PDP because of the injustice meted out to them during the local government election in the state.
He said we will work for PDP in Ijebu-North East and Ogun State in general and we will ensure that APC does not exist in the area again.
While welcoming the news members of the PDP, Kashamu alleged that, Ogun state governor, Senator Ibikunke Amosun attempted to scuttle the programme by allegedly holding a secret meeting with the leader of the defectors.
According to him, Amosun held a meeting with Sylvester and persuaded him not to join the PDP. In fact, the governor promised him heaven and the earth but, the man did not accept.
