Control Google Glass social features with your mind

Google Glass may have just got a whole lot better, although we are sure some of you out there will disagree. We are talking about a new feature that allows you to control Google Glass with your mind – you read that right. This is not the work of the search engine giant, but rather a team of engineers who will will be showcasing the technology today in London.
Up until now, the only way in which you could control the functions of Google Glass was by talking to it or by touch, so just imagine the possibilities of being able to control it with the power of your mind?
This is made possible with an option source application called MindRDR, which kind of makes you feel as though you have telekinetic abilities, although in a very limited way. A video of the new device can be seen in action below, which certainly helps to better explain things, as it can get a little confusing trying to explain all the technical details.
However, what we can tell you is that the project is still in its infancy and so you are only able to have minimal control functions, such as being able to take photos with Google Glass and then uploading them to Facebook or Twitter.
The way in which this is done is quite clever, you begin with a white line through the center of the screen and when you manage to move that line to the top it then takes the photo, making it a little like a mind game to get the result.
These technology is still a long way to being released to the consumer, but at least it shows what is possible with devices like Google Glass – even though you still look like a dork.
