16 Cultists, Including 8 Polytechnic Students Arrested In Ogun


16 suspected cultists, including eight students of the polytechnic, were arrested by the police in Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the Ogun state.

Police officers of Ewekoro Division have collected data on the activities of cult groups in the area for several months and finally 16 men were arrested on suspicion of cultist activities in Ewekoro Local Government Area. Those arrested included Akintunde Paul, Seyi Meshinoye, Fowoshade Gbemisola, Dare Olabode, Oyetayo Bolaji, Akintunde Femi, Ajibola Abiola, Amosun Eniola, Shola Ogunniyi, Fashina Michael, Bello Oyedeji, Adeshola Amore, Ebi Victor, Ogunsola Ibrahim, Babatunde Allyson and Awobajo Babatunde.
According to the information provided by the Ogun State Police Command, guns, charms, cutlasses, broken bottles, axes and other items were confiscated from them. The investigation continues as the arrested did notrefer themselves to any group or confraternity. They have been transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation, Eleweran, Abeokuta for further interrogation and soon will appear in court.
