Since his exit from government, Buhari has been trying to project an image of himself as an honest, detribalised and incorruptible political leader deeply concerned about the deteriorating condition of life in the country. Unfortunately, over the years Buhari’s reputation has been sullied by inconsistencies and serious errors of judgment.
To begin with, Buhari was minister of petroleum in the military regime of Olusegun Obasanjo. While he was still serving, it was reported that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) could not account for $2.8 billion that accrued to the federal government from crude oil sales. Since then, Buhari had been trying to explain away the scandal.

Nigerian man sentenced to death in Malaysia for drug trafficking



A 35 year old Nigerian man was sentenced to death today November 25th by a Malaysian High Court for trafficking in 251.66 gm of methapethamine.

Abuchi Ngwoke, was arrested in May 2012 at a Malaysian airport. He had swallowed the drugs.

The High court judge described Ngwoke's testimony about swallowing gemstones in Nigeria before traveling to Malaysia as absurd. A date is yet to be set for his execution.

OMG! Man arraigned for infecting 6 and 8-year-olds with HIV

A 32-year-old man, Mr. Terkura Iorpuu, was arraigned before a chief magistrate’s court in Makurdi, Benue, for raping and infecting two young girls with HIV.

Federal government reportedly meeting with #BokoHaram leaders in Saudi Arabia

According to Voice of America, the Federal Government has entered into talks with representatives of Boko Haram in Saudi Arabia to facilitate the release of the abducted Chibok girls, and also negotiate an outright surrender/cease fire by the Islamic terrorist sect.
The Principal Private Secretary to the President, Ambassador Hassan Tukur is reportedly in a meeting with Chad’s President Idris Deby and Cameroonian government officials at the meeting in Saudi Arabia.
Tukur reportedly confirmed the meeting to VOA, while a Boko Haram representative, Danladi Ahmadu is also reported to have confirmed the sit-down.
